Vinyl top install?

Is the vinyl top installed with the front & rear glass removed or can I install without removing the glass?

Also, does the vinyl material go under where the drip edge moldings are?

In other words, do the drip edge moldings snap in place over the vinyl or the vinyl just glued in the rain gutter?

I installed a vinyl top about 25 years ago on a Chevelle, but forgot how it is installed now.

The precious po had already removed the top prior to me getting the car.

Originally the glass was out and the glass was layed over the vinyl in the window channel. It can be put on and tucked into the window channels though.

After doing some more reading.....I think I'm just going to paint the top. I'm going to be painting the car this fall anyway.

Nope, changed my mind again.....Gotta go and install the vinyl top.
