ok, i've got a good one for you.

my 72 swinger had the original vinyl top and it came down the front pillars to the bottom and that is where the short chrome piece was mounted. I've ask around and it appears that a 72 the V/top usually stopped at the top of the windshield. I can tell the top was original as I worked for chryl for a couple of years, 70,71,. So I guess I have to find one that has enough material for that but wonder if it is like a chevelle and you have a seam about half way down the pillar. strange .... wonder why it was different. tks mike.

thats the way my was. it appears that the published photos, etc from the age did not show it coming down the post. might have been one of those mid year changes etc. Thats the same seam other companies like gm does, so thats a load off. (and that much less to sand!) tks for the reply Mike
