question. my top was taken off and the chrome saved in the trunk(smart guy) after grinding down i find holes for the clips across the back below the window but don't fine any on the side below where the lead seam is. do i need to dig deaper or are they not needed. also anyone got a pic of what the clip looks like. tks

Someone might have replaced the 1/4 panel, one without holes.
Just a guest.

There are no holes on the side below the lead seam; only studs. There should be a hole just behind where the quarter window ends for the start of the chrome trim. There isn't another hole until you round the pillar. I recall there being one at the apex of the pillar and then 3 or 4 below the window.

oops, its a 72 dart. and the last description is what im looking at. i suppose the stude made like a screw like used on a GM, would work for replacement. the only holes are the ones you said. someone took the top off and started to make it without a VT. but gave up so im putting it back. tks for the info.
