Join us for Virginia Tech Day, Saturday, August 9 at VIRginia International Raceway to watch the 24-hour ChumpCar World Series. In addition to the 24-hour race, a fun-filled Virginia Tech Day is scheduled with a car and motorcycle show, kart racing, skeet shooting, and a cook-off competition -- all while enjoying the scenery and special guests from Virginia Tech! Tailgating and coolers are welcome and encouraged! Concessions available.

Virginia Tech Festivities Schedule:
Saturday, August 9
- 10:30 AM: Skid Pad and Pavilion Open
- 12 5 PM: Car and Motorcycle Show
- 2 4 PM: Skeet Shooting
- 3 4 PM: Motorcycle Club vs. Car Club Kart Race
- 4 5 PM: Sponsors Kart Race
- 4 5 PM: Tailgate Cook-off Competition
- 5 6 PM: Kart Track Reserved for Individual Racing
- 6 PM: Award Presentation
- Skeet Shooting:
- $15 for first round, $10 for each additional round (if you bring your own shotgun/ammo)
- $40 for first round, $20 for each additional round (if you use VIRs shotguns and ammo)
- $15 for first round, $10 for each additional round (if you bring your own shotgun/ammo)
- Kart Racing:
- $30 for 30 minutes for each person (When registering through our reserved 3-6 PM time slots. Without prior registration, pricing is $50 cash for 30 minutes paid at the kart track.)
- $25 cash for 15 minutes of racing if you race without reserving a time through us
- $30 for 30 minutes for each person (When registering through our reserved 3-6 PM time slots. Without prior registration, pricing is $50 cash for 30 minutes paid at the kart track.)
- Car/Motorcycle Show:
- $5 to register a motorcycle or car for the showcase.
- Tailgate Cook-off Competition:
- Free but participants must register.
- Note: Registrations for Virginia Tech Festivities do not include general admission tickets.
