I was restarting my 71 duster and noticed sparking coming from around the regulator. I could'nt figure why it was doing it. I disconnected the middle wire on the alternator and it stopped. what the hell is going on. Oh yeah its a 318 2 barrel

first thing check to make sure you have s good clean ground on the regulator

is the ground the firewall?

yep make sure where it bolts to the firewall is clean and tight
