I'm building a 1/25 scale kit of a '69 Road Runner to look like my car. It has a vynal roof and before my last computer crash I had a link to a source of a company that had vyanl roof material available for models. Would anyone know who that company might be? Thanks.

They don't look in scale and are very hard to put on. Do you have an air brush? If so you can get the proper texture by thickening the paint and spraying it at a low pressure and with some practice you'll get it perfect. It can be done with a spray can by holding it farther away, but is a little more tricky. For making the seams I just use automotive pinstripe and cut it really thin before painting. I also make the raised mouldings out of thin strip styrene found at your local hobby store and shape and glue it on as well as putty and prime before doing any paint work.

This model was never meant to have a vinyl top.

Hope this helps

That looks great, but I don't have an air brush so I guess I'll have to try something else.
