I picked up a pair of w2 heads but don't have any info on them and am hoping for some help. From what I have been able to find is they are the race version and that the casting number I have found 4582693 is the same for all the w2 heads so not much help there.Attaching some pics, found some numbers stamped in the end of the head not sure what they are.Any help would be great.

Closed chamber race heads.
Looks like the ones for a 48* lifter bank angle.
Should be 15* valve angle(std is 18*).
They were available in a few different chamber volumes....... just cc to see what you have.

The stamped numbers are just a job number/invoice number from whoever did the heads.

Any way to know for sure on the 48* part, was hoping these might work on my std 360 block. Was the 48* the only ones with the pushrod clearance "v" on the intake face?

Just mock them up on a 59* block and see how much pushrod clearancing you’d have to do.

I’m not a “W2 guru”, but I think where the pushrod tunnels are drilled is the primary difference between the Race version W2 48* and 59* heads.
