The OTHER village idiot
Looking for a complete 73-76 A-Body 8 1/4 rear, drum to drum(Or disc to disc, either way), to replace the scrawny 7 1/4 that was behind the original /6.
I'd prefer a 3.73 gear, but I'd consider going higher. I don't want to go smaller than 3.55, as I'd rather not have to rip everything apart, buy a new ring and pinion, and rebuild.
Sure grip or open, doesn't matter at this point. Eventually will be a sure grip, but I can work with an open rear for now.
I'm happy to pay freight to Fort Walton Beach, Fl, 32547, as long as it's reasonable, or I can drive to meet up to 50 miles out, possibly more.
Also possibly interested in a 108" wheelbase, V8 904 to 8.25 driveshaft.
I've checked out all of the local yards I could find, and found absolutely nothing - this area is definitely a big truck place, so it seems to be hard to find much of anything this old.
