Wanted- Great condition A833 4 speed trans for my 318

I'm looking for an excellent condition or rebuilt A833 4 speed trans to go with my 318. First gear is shot in my current trans, and it leaks gear oil horribly.

have it rubuilt and resealed....it will cost less....used ones are not cheap,,,and you already know shipping is pricey...am I wrong

Yep I will probably go the rebuild route.

is yours an orignal 64/65 trans ?? if so its worth rebuilding it has a 3.09 first gear,,,,

Eh I'm really not sure on the year of the trans.
I don't know on the first gear...
How do I tell?

quickest way with out reading the serial numbers is look at the back of the tranny where the drive shaft goes in,,,if it is bolted on with 4 bolts it the orignal 1964 65 tanny,,if the drive shaft slides in its a later model tranny
