Was the AC Delco "Big D" shock factory installed on early As?

I have a '64 valiant with them on all 4 corners. Wondering if they are original to the car or not. I am replacing them as they have no compression left.

No, they are definitely not original. Chrysler did not buy shocks from General Motors. GM did, however, have a big marketing push for their aftermarket shocks in the '70s and '80s.
