I plan on using 15-7 backspace 4 on the rear of 69 dart with 245/60 15 on rear all stock leaf springs. Dustin

Thanks. Wheel vintiques offers a 15x7 with a 4 inch back space. Wondering if it will set the wheel too far out.

Here is your tire.

Will require offset hangers

6542 26X10.50-15LT 23 90000000289 7.0-10.0 8 10.4 8 26

I am running 15x7 with 3.5" backspacing and 255/60R15 on the rear of my 68 dart. The drivers side clears nicely with about 1/2" to spare. But the passengers side will rub a tiny bit at the fender lip. So I just cut off about 1/4" of the lip so the tire could clear.

Anyone with a 67-9 Dart running 15x7 rims? What size tires are you using? Thanks.

Thanks again to those that gave intelligent answers. Roccodart, not so much.

So lets see here to clarify. up until this year I ran 15x7 rims with the tires I recommended to you. They hooked up a 503hp 440 in a 67-69 (69) dart.

I'm a bit lost as to how my answer is unintelligent.

Well, I was looking for info on a stock wheel . Just don't want to invest in 14 inch rubber on the stock wheel. Thanks for trying to help. Maybe I was being too much of a smart azz. Your car looks Badazz, but I want to keep it mostly stock looking.

A 15x7 rim, whether stock or otherwise is a 15x7 rim. The ones you see on my car are a 15x7 rim with a sportsman pro 26x10.50 tire.

If you did an offset hanger kit which moves the spring a measly 3/4" (.75") they fit. No one would know you used different hangers unless they were very mopar savvy and it isn't a permanent modification so if some one wanted to buy it it wouldn't affect the sale price.

Yeah, but shouldn't you also move the spring perches ??

Nope. Only the rear moves.

I read an article a while back on moparts about this dart.

27-10.50-15 15x7 wheels.

He has this car also so sweet

Well I just learned something today. Very useful. If I end up selling my Sport Fury, I might go with a more aggressive looking setup.

If you use the rear offset hangers you should def use the kit front hangers as well, If you want to keep the geometry right. I have a narrowed 8 3/4 and did move my perches to match as well even though it's a measly 3/4" on each side. No mini tubs or other modifications. Running 15x8's with a 4 1/4 backspace, 275/50/15 nitto's, drag radials.
May not help you much but this is what I did with the measurements for my ride. :burnout:

1964 Dart GT, 8.75 rear with SSBC front and rear disks
Front wheels 17" x 7" with 4"bs Tires are 215 r40
Rear wheels 17" X 8" with 5.68" bs and .5" wheel spacers. Tires are 245 r55.
I was nervous that this combo would look wrong on this car, but I like it.

This is what I did as well.

I`ve posted this before, but you can carefully cut a spring perch in half, (length ways , and make sure it stays 3/4" exactly) then clamp each half to the original perches, and weld them up. then drill 2 holes for the relocated
u-bolts, no guessing or measureing for pad angle. if u want to go back to the original location, all u have to do is remove the 3/4" set up ! EASY !!!
