waterproof tachs

just wondering if most tachometers are waterproof or which ones are. Looking to stick mine out on the hood. Any help would be great -Thanks

i know most are not waterproof.

The old GM hood tachs were obviously water proof. There was a company called Dixco that made aftermarket hood tachs in the 70's and 80's. If you are looking for a late model tach, check marine application tachs this will be your best bet.
