Waterpump to Heater Hode question /6

Hello there!
What is the correct diameter for the hoses? I need to replace the ones marked in the pic. I ve to get new ones because they would not let the valve cover pass by on change. Thx in advance.

It is a 170cui /6 from 63.

On my 170 /6 I have 5/8 red line heater hose, no sun here again today, nothing but clouds and rain, rivers are over there banks !!

Thank you a lot. A bunch of cool people here around. Well it is always about the small details. Small help brings great benefits. So I ordered my new hose from UK and will be able to take the valve cover out without draining the cooling system everytime.
