Weight of an 8 & 3/4 chunk

Does anyone have an idea (or has an actual weight) of an 8 & 3/4 center section? I've got a couple of loose centers; however, my little digital scale only goes to 40 pounds and I know they weigh more than that. Don;t have a bathroom scale so no help there. I wouldn't think specific gears (2.76, 3.91, etc) would have much of an impact

The bare case will come in right at 40-45#

Loaded with a SG/yoke about 80-85#. An open will likely be just slightly lighter IIRC.

Should be close enough to get a good shipping quote.

I just weighed a 489 the other day. It weighed 85 lbs. It has 4:10's and a sure-grip and small yoke. Probably about as heavy as one gets.
