I have read conflicting info on the different year blocks. Some say they got thinner castings in the later years. Others say it don't matter.

It doesn't matter if your going to street it but with the HP your looking at I'd do some reel
research. I still say stay in the early years.

The early ones have one advantage, the later ones another. Flip a coin. Find a good buildable core and go with it. Doesn't matter what year.
