What’s this wire for?

Dropped the rear end out of my 65 Valiant vert. Noticed this wire hanging down on the passenger side. It wasn’t hooked to anything. It has a slide on connector. Anybody what this was supposed to go to?

Looks like the grounding clip for the fuel line at the tank to me.
