What 6x9 Speakers

-
I never run rear speakers just fronts and a sub, not a fan of the music coming from behind me.

I wouldn't run 3 way speakers either, component or at most 2 way.

I imagine there's not much difference between the two, I probably go with Polk mainly to be brand consistent (with fronts) and better power rating. Best is to find a shop where you can compare them.

I would say it probably doesn't matter much....read some reviews perhaps. It also depends on what you are looking for. I went down the hi fi stereo slippery slope a couple years ago and I would agree with the above. If I built a top notch stereo I would spend all the money on high quality 6.5 speakers and a sufficiently powered amp to drive them. I doubt putting something behind a kick panel will yield fantastic results though.

Definitely infinity for 6x9’s the new gen don’t know the numbers but they punched hard before I got my subs they were very surprising trust me you would not be disappointed

I like the way the Polk's look, and then you'll have a matching set!

I put a set of Focal 6x9's in speaker boxes that are a size larger than what you usually see. They are in the back of my Coronet wagon and are surprisingly good sounding, run with just the 45 watts from the head unit. I did put a 10" sealed Rockford sub in, and a pair of Infinity 3.5" in the dash which adds up to some pretty impressive sound while staying somewhat on budget.

I’m doing kenwood in the boogie van I’m building. I’m kinda brand loyal.
So. Factory it had 6x9 speakers on 4 corners. I am no stereo expert AT ALL,
But in both the Demon and Barracuda, I use a blue tooth portable speaker. Less weight, never worry about cutting up the car or panels. In the 84 van- holes were all there.
Just my 2cents
