what alternator do i need?

-
If you have a stocker, no big electric fans, no electric pump, no huge stereo, etc,

literally millions of cars were on the road for years and years with a 30-35 A alternator.

Yes, the lights "dim a little" at slow idle. I'm not sure when this got to be a big deal. When I was young, that was the way it was, and things worked fine.

well im asking because `at idle with the lights on my gauge reads pretty far to the left, and its suppose to stay towards the middle. so im soon to swap my volt regulator and was wondering if and old or underpowered alternator

The alleged cure for this is "install a Denzo." If you do a search here, there should be a few threads on the subject

searched for the Denso on here...wow seems like an awful lot of work to just get a different style alt. $100 for the alt the $60 just afor a bracket for it? ouch!
