Hi All: Got an easy one for you here. I'll be replacing the door gaskets on my 1974 Duster. I've been burned in the past with poor quality gaskets for my other project, and I'm hoping to avoid the same problems all over again. What are the best fitting and highest quality gaskets that will work great in my car? What has worked for you? Thanks! cruiser

I used these from Metro Moulded Parts. They seem to be high quality.

An installation hint: use double sided trim adhesive tape in between each of the little attachment nibs. The nibs themselves aren't enough to hold the seal on their own. At least those installed by the previous owner weren't. The seal pulled out, dropped, and was cut when it was shut in the door. I used the tape and the installation has lasted perfectly for a few years now.

I used the OER and they were ok but fit a little oddly at the front (Dart). As with all seals and weather stripping I found that it is worth buying the good names such as Metro or Steele.

I used Metro and Steele. Last Steele look a month to have the doors have total compression. When installed was really tight but sealed up great and fit great after the month or so settling in wait.
I use the black weather strip adhesive from 3-M instead of yellow 3-M gorilla snot. If ya get little sloppy don't show.

I know not to use the OER ones again, they don't fit the greatest but they're the cheapest (for a reason).
