What are you guys doing with your upper door to window trim?

I am building my 70 Dart. I am blacking out all of the chrome moldings around the windows. I am trying to figure out what would look good on the door trim near the window. Did you guys remove and weld in the holes, paint it body color, leave it metal, or paint it black as well?
It is the trim at thetop of the door circled in the pic:

Since you're blacking out the rest of the trim, you might want to do those pieces in black also. Otherwise, I would go with body color there. If you leave it metal, it will look out of place IMO......

My car is completely blacked out, but the car is black too, so I'm not much help

I am in the process if getting chrome so I can add it to my 68 Dart. I for one like the look of this trim! That being said I still need to find the ends the go on the back by the back window as mine are not great!

Has anybody eliminated it and filled the holes? I am curious how this would look.

This is how it would look if you welded the holes up for the belt moulding no matter how well you bodyworked it.
