Working on the stuffed mushroom appetizers now.

8oz filets with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and a wedge salad w/minced bacon.

Washing it down with an aged cognac and a Macanudo Rubusto.

Happy Fricken New Year. I'm about to get merry.

Marinated a chunk of venison backstrap and stuffed it with sauted onions and mushrooms. Then wrapped it all with bacon and cooked on charcoal and applewood. No pictures but it was delicious! Wife made baked potatoes and green bean casserole to go with it.

Yesterday my BIL smoked a lamb leg and cut it up and wrapped the chunks in bacon. Grilled the bacon wrapped lamb for a bit. Pretty good stuff. Pickled Pike was good too.
