mevotech used to have a low line (and still may?) that was the same vatozone, o'really's & crapa bargain basement hong kong phooey junk. their "original grade" is better than that, but it can be hit or miss depending on the application.

the "supreme" line hasn't done me dirty yet.

I bought a mevotech drag link from partsgeek once.. it went to **** in week.
My other friend bought their high end stuff... it went to **** too.

I stick to moog and or carquest branded joints now. I hope they figured it out and work for you . Good luck!

I stay away from mevotech. I've had several of their spherical sway bar links for my Dakota loosen up after a matter of months. I' imagine ball joints would be a similar story. I have no idea how they're able to offer lifetime warranties on parts like this that they know will go bad so quickly.

Here's my sway bar links. Three years and 35,000 miles since install and they're fine. If needed, they get a little squirt of barium base #2 EP grease twice a year when the snow tires go on and come off. The OEM links were clunking at less than a year old. My experience is that Mopar ball joint style sway bar links have been flimsy and under-engineered.

I have some Mevotech Supreme tie rod ends, a control arm and wheel bearing and hub here for a current project. I'll report on those in a few days.

Next time post the brand/part number. I might pay extra for a ball joint that tight.

I've had regrets over the OE ball joints I've left in the scrap yard for awhile now. I always thought new was better. Come to find out, better is better.

Can you please post a picture of the parting line? I suspect those are cast and not forged

No you wouldn't pay anything for parts THAT tight. I had tons of complaints that I got sick n tired of, so I replaced them AGAIN with... MOOG/ and problem solved.
One was a Dodge 3/4 ton van (same parts as pickups and 74-78 C bodies take, others were 92 and newer ford 1 ton vans, mostly window vans, "people haulers".
