What size Holley would you put on a fresh 340 in a Dart? I have a 750, but do you think it'd be too big. The car is just a cruiser. Car has an auto trans. Would a 600 work better?

I run a 770 holley street avenger on my warmed over 360. It runs great. I did run a 670 and it was fine. The 770 gave me more top end at the track.

The 750 will not be too big. If your 340 is very mild "stockish" the 600 would be fine, but since you already have the 750, might as well use it. jmo.

I ran a 750 on my 7.5:1 318 with 360 heads and an air-gap intake, no problems. Smoked the tires at the lights and got 20+ mpg.

If it is a double pumper it could be a problem for a stock motor. I had a 780 Holley on a 69 340 with a purple shaft cam and it worked great! Much better than the 600 it replaced.
