What color was 63 Valiant Hood Emblem?

OK, I am unable to post from my brochure. However, I just went outside to check the V-emblems on the chrome just behind the rear windows of my Signet 2 door. These emblems have the remnants of the blue and red paint on them. I, therefore, conclude that the v-emblems should have the blue and red on each side of the large V in Valiant. I also conclude that the brochures used the black front emblem to reduce glare when taking the shots, since the emblems are not all that prominent in the brochures.

Of course, I can be completely incorrect! The above is my reasoned opinion.
 
Hello Flatheadgeo! Can you post a picture of your emblems? I don't have the same ones on my V200. cheers, Ann
 
Ann- there are no emblems on my car. They were gone when I got the car, except for the rear emblems on the window chrome. If my son is ever home I might be able to post pics of those.
 
Ann, there is an early post in this thread with a hood emblem with a black background.
I found it on Ebay - Frank Mitchell has it - don't ask how much LOL
Point is, it is a NOS, so you would expect it to be correct wouldn't you?
