what goes on first? axle or backing plate?

this is a dumb question to most of yall but i dont know and i dont wanna ef anything up. i got the yukon axles with green bearings installed. do i put the backing plate on then slide in the axle?is there supposed to be a gasket between each? am i better off doing the scarebird rear disc conversion? HELP?

Here is the order.

1) foam gasket
2) backing plate
3) metal gasket
4) axle and bearing assembly

What are you running on the front for brakes? Disc brakes on the rear aren't as necessary as good disc's on the front. But if you are planning on going to disc's this is the time to do it.
