What happened to this block?

Obviously, it was run too hard without following the factory break in recommendations, not holding one steady rpm, etc. Too eager to go fast too soon.
Maybe some teenager cracked it putting in a freeze plug with a 10 pound sledge.
Carbon tracks in distributor cap?
Are there beavers in the area?
Mice couldn't do that.
When I have seen such breakage, it's always been because some numb-nut has put in "racing gas", and spent the day torturing the car, to see if the gas made it any faster.
Ouch. Makes a fine garden decorative pedestal for a birdbath, like we did with a totally worn out slant six block.
