PTC is who I am going with as well. They quoted me just under 500. Way cheaper than anyone else so far. And they are notoriously good on the street. Super pumped for it.
What kind of time did PTC tell you guys to get one delivered.

Agreed! Happy with mineI can tell you what I just did. Called Frank Lupo at Dynamic convertors, told him what my combo was and he is building me a 4200 flash stall 9 1/2" Billet cover convertor. One that will have good street manors. I've trusted and used him many times in the past, can't go wrong.
If I remember correctly, it was about a weekWhat kind of time did PTC tell you guys to get one delivered.
There's your problem Bill. If you never specified it to be balanced for your engine it won't be balanced. I assume your 440 is a cast crank model that is externally balanced. If so all you need is a B&M flex plate part #10237. It'll take care of balancing. $102 dollar fixYeah, I just looked through my receipts and I bought this one back on 03/04/2011 from Jegs. It was a shelf 24-30 Hughes TQ. 3000 stall. According to the description of it, it doesn't even say it is balanced so I don't know. I am learning about this stuff, what to get and look for.

Is that PTC you talk about the one in Alabama.
Ok Bill. You should be good then. If you still have a vibration it must be something else since you say the converter seems to work good. If there was something wrong inside it wouldn't drive right. Try taking your belts off. I've seen water pumps & fans cause a minor vibration before. Water pumps usually cause it right when their about to shoot craps cause the bearings get looseFishy, that is the flexplate I have on there. I bought it new and put it on the same time I put the new converter in. so I should be balanced then.
