I'm new to the real muscle side of A bodies. I dunno. What is an H code car? What are the characteristics - H code only options? Is there links someone can refer me to? I ASSUME my 1970 Duster 340 is an H code : VS29HOBXXXXXX

h stands for the engine code. h=340
g stands for the engine code. g=318
c stands for the engine code. c=/6

For my year `68 it`s a 383 and I thought that 340`s were a P code? I haven`t delved into that code stuff lately so maybe someone can clarify that.

For -67 and -68 the H code stands for 383 engines , and I believe also for -69
,since -69 440 cars use the M code.

i knew it was different for different years but i didn't bother to open that can of worms. i knew the vs29h was for a duster 340.
