what is fender tag code v21 on a 73 340 3- speed duster?

like the title states. picked up a 340 3-speed duster (73). i am kinda bumbed , cause on the phone i was told it was a 4-speed car. but either way, i got all the stuff minus exaust manifolds/exaust, starter, to put it back together with a 69 340.

here is a pic of the trans. can you tell me by looking at it, is it a 3 or 4 speed. i believe it is a 4 speed, but want to be sure.

now what does hood treatment look like on a 73 duster?

It a four speed. On the other side near the bottom you will find a flat machined area with some stamped numbers-you will have to clean it to read it. there should be a 833 in amongst the numbers. And a vin
