I have this 2bbl Holley carb here that came on the 360 I put in my sons Dart Sport. This engine came out of a 79 Dodge RV. Can you tell me by the numbers if it is worth putting a kit in and rebuilding or should I be looking for something else for his engine. I personally dont like Holley but he is looking for something to get the motor running and to drive while we restore his car. I went through the engine and put new bearings and rings to fresh it up from sitting. Dont need anything for performance just something to be runnable for awhile. I know nothing about this carb. I never heard the motor run nor whether this carb goes on a 360. It was just on there when I bought the motor. Any help would greatly appreciated. I want to hear this puppy run. And..... would you happen to know which kit I would need to build this. I have only rebuilt one carb in my life. On a Monte Carlo when I was in the Air Force. Here are the numbers:

R 7088 A
3870912
3067.
These are on the back I believe. Thanks,Bill

Hard choice,
These carbs are very picky to keep running clean and crisp.
What ever you do DO NOT trade it in for a rebuild carb.
The parts house rebuild will be a parts carb and may run or not.
Napa will have the rebuild kit, buy a gallon of carb dip while you are there.

It may be cheaper in the long run to buy a used 4bbl intake and put a clean used 600 holley vac secondary or eldebrock on it.

I have a 4 bbl intake here. May do that.what is this off of from the numbers. What size is it. do you know.

Never mind. I found it. it is a H2-2245. fits a 75-83 Dodge truck.takes a Kt-5211 kit. I love google.Thanks

Is it just me or is it missing the cover for the accelerator pump cover or is that a vent with the missing arm? I had one on my 77 power wagon. Traded up for a 4 barrel and regretted it.
