Okay... I have a 72 Valiant. I removed all the trim and nameplates, filled the holes, and spent about $20 painting it flat black with white scallops. Plus, just for kicks, I stuck the nameplate from an Ampeg Superjet guitar amp on the grill. It's been fun so far because:
-4 people actually thought it was an Ampeg...
-2 guys at the welding shop thought it was a Fairlane...
-a lot of people guess it's a Dart...(close)
-most people ask, "What is it?"...
-but a 5 year old autistic kid got it right..."Plymouth Valiant"

sounds like when i used to daily drive a duster ........ppl would tell me "hey lady, nice NOVA" WHAT!!!!

yet the car had Duster emblems all over it. :protest:

My buddy has a Plymouth volare duster, I remember him driving in to car shows, listing to people say what is that a nova?

I once received a trophy for my Plymouth GTO (they were sure I misspelled the model name of my own GTX because they never heard of one before)!

Ha ha! Great idea, especially if you like talking to strangers.

and recently at the tattoo studio, "Nice car. Oldsmobile, right?"
