What is the correct width of an A BODY rear end

Can anyone please tell me the correct width drum plate to drum plate and spring purch to spring purch of an a body rear.

Will a b body rear end fit in a a body

I just checked a similar post, and the dimensions on my 69 cuda 83/4 are 43" perch to perch, and approx 50" flange to flange

The CORRECT flange to flange width is 52 5/8"
drum to drum should be 57 1/8"
Perches are 43"

Yes, you can put a B body rear under an A with the right offset wheels. Spread the springs or move the perches (best), seen it done both ways.
