Howdy all. this came off my 76 dart swinger that I'm restoring. it was bolted on the frame in the vapor return line that runs next to the main fuel line. what is it? whats it for? and do I need it? thanks

Harder Better Faster Stronger.
It's a roll over valve. So gas gas does not come out when you flip the car over and the roof is on the pavement.

yeah I just replaced my frame rails and seen that there on the vapor line. Shook it and the valve is free so left it inline re-bolting it back to the new frame rail
