I have not seen mention on the forum here of this online place that comes up on my searches called "Carid". It just came up again when I did a search for "caliper paint". Is this place legit?

They are, Ive been buying from them for years. Good prices too. I got the rear brake drums for my ‘69 GTS from them.

I had a bad experience when they advertised a power steering pump that they didn't have. After a month, they told me they didn't have it, but they could get it in about another month. Since I needed it, I said okay. After another month, they still didn't have it. I asked for money back and got it.

What really pissed me off was that they charged my credit card right away, knowing they didn't have the pump. Honorable companies shouldn't charge you until your item is shipped. I'll never deal with them again.

Another Amazon wannebe. There are pros/cons with these companys.

CONS

-Putting auto parts stores (employees)out of business. -Try returning something to them, if need be.......good luck

PROS
Cheaper

I looked at a few things for my ram and found them a bunch cheaper on ebay for the same thing. someone I know had me check them out , I was not impressed. haven't been back

I have used them in the past, purchased headlight and tail light assemblies for my wife's BMW. Excellent source for Spyder lighting. They have web videos and wiring diagrams for the items I purchased. I've even had to ship an incorrectly ordered part back to them, no questions asked.

From what I know, they stock and ship nothing.
They approached the dealership I worked at and wanted us to come on as a "vendor". In short you buy something from them, they contact us, we order part then ship to their customer. They pay on 30 day cycles. We get to do all this at a reduced profit margin and a set shipping rate. So, if we get $7.00 to ship a part and it costs $10.00, we eat it. They also expected me to sell them a part at 5% to 7% over cost.
The markup on Mopar Performance and Mopar Accessories might be 5%, 12% if you're lucky, so there's no wiggle room there. Their argument was 5% of something was better than 100% of nothing. It's not when I figured in the shipping material, the man hours to deal with the orders, the hassles of returns, chasing down payable's, and credits, it was a loser deal on my end and a great deal for them. All they had to do was maintain a website and (hopefully) write a check.
I passed on their offer, but I see there are others who didn't. Those are big dealers who are making the difference up on the backside with purchase discounts. I'm of the opinion that I was going to get those purchase discounts anyway, no need to ***** my self out for it.

I recently bought a couple of FiTech systems through them. The price shipped to me was lower than anywhere else plus they sent me a digital gift card that I used the other day to help buy new rocker panels and cab corners for my Ram 1500. They ended up being cheaper than anywhere else as well and are already being shipped to me. They are a drop ship superstore for auto parts from what I see. I have no problems with that. Hell I bought some Dakota Odor Bombs from AutoGeek last week that up here are anywhere from $50 to $87 dollars each depending on where you look for $10 each including shipping. I have no problem with drop shipping if it saves me bucks.
