I'm trying to clean up my firewall/engine bay.. There's this "stuff" that is around the insulation push pins, heater motor, wiper motor...basically everywhere there's an opening to the interior side. Is it seam sealer or something like that..? I see finished engine bays and they look so much cleaner without it, but not sure how to remove it with minimal damage to paint underneath..if even possible. I've tried scraping with a razor, but it scratches the paint around it...tried with plastic broad-knife/scrapers...just don't work.
