I many consider changing out the 1965 273 factory solid camshaft in my 1965 Valiant convertible for a hydraulic cam during the next rebuild. Is there some block, head, or valve train modifications that need to be done to insure the hydraulic lifters fill with the required oil? Thank you.

Nope. All you need will be the correct length pushrods, cam, lifters and whichever springs are correct for the cam.

Thanks, that's a relief. But now I am curious where the oil comes from?

From the oil pan. lol

It travels up passsges in the block deck and up into the rocker shaft pedestals into the rocker shafts and onto the rockers and valve tips. The pushrods have nothing to do with oiling on an LA Chrysler engine.
