what places to see/eat at in Houston?

Planning a trip to see friends in OK and NASA in Houston. Any places of interest that aren't listed on the tourists guide to visit? Already two places to stop and eat; a bakery and ice cream shop! Hey! It's vacation, dessert first. Thanks for any ideas and suggestions. Bob

If you want to drop large dollars for a steak dinner, hit Pappas Brothers Steak House in Houston. Outstanding but check your credit card limit before you head in!

Make a trip to Galveston & get some good seafood at any of the restaurants down by the cruise ship terminal From there, wander The Strand area & see what you can find.
