What shocks to use for a V-8 conversion?

I think I'll be getting the adapter kit for the v-8 conversion, should I then go for a stiffer shock, since the set up is for the /6?? Which brand is preferred??

if you aren't changing the torsion bars (which is what you should worry about when adding extra weight), any shock will do. The spring rates are very low on slant six a-bodies.

I would use .920" MP torsion bars and H/D shocks. it firms up the ride a lot and improves handling a bunch.
 
KYB's work fine, but if you want adjustable/tuneable shocks Spax makes a set for the A-bodies...@ $118 apiece through British American Transfer in Sarasota, FL.
