I have a stock A-body 8 3/4 in my 68 Dart. I'm currently running some street tires and rims on it now (15x8 with 275's). I want to get a Strip set up but don't want to cut the housing down. I'd like to run 15x10 with a 325/50/15 tire. My car is mini tubbed and leafs re-located. What back spacing do I need to run this size set up?

Stock width A body width usually needs a 7.25-7.5" backspace with a 15x10

My late buddy ran 7.5 inches on his 15x10 wheels with a stock 8 3/4, mini-tubbed and relocated springs.

I'am running 15x10 with 7-7.5 backspacing with the spring relocation kit and mini tubbed with 28x12.50x15 M/T E/T streets..

The problem is if your running it in a duster then the wheel wells are different vs my DArt.

15x10 with 7 1/4 bs. 325/50 tire.

very cool.. do you have anymore pictures? Is your rear stock length? Can you get your wheels off by just jacking the car up? How close is the tire to the front of your wheel well opening?

The rear is stock width with the springs moved in. the tires are very close to the front lip of the quarter panel. If i did this again, i would move the axle/spring back 1'' for a taller tire. You do need to jack the rear up to get the tires off.

This is great news.. so now I can build a stock with Dana and keep my 15x8 street set up then just buy some 15x10's with 7.5" BS for the strip..

Vitamin do you think the 7.25 works just fine or would you have been better off with 7.5 BS? How much room do you have on each side of the wheel wells?

Before i ordered any wheels, i think i would measure your current setup the way it sets, it could be different than mine. I did have to trim the outer wheel lip ever so slightly. The Big Block Dart website has a very nice method for wheel width and back space measuring. i would start there. After that you,ll need to find someone to weld up some wheels
(if you go steel), and they may have limits on what they will do as far as back space. A 10'' wheel will fit.

I was thinking more along the lines of torque thrust II's same as I have on the fronts.
