Was working on 70 Dart today and had power running through car not running nor was key in on or run position and this metal cylinder under dash was warm to the touch can anyone identify this (in Pic) and do i need it?? if so what the hell does it do made me squrily thinking that this thing is warm while car is off

I dont have a buzzer in my car unless its dead also if so why would it get warm when car is off ??

Looks like the off delay timer on the ignition switch light that is in my Barracuda.

Yeah, it's the ignition light delay. Just keeps the little light above the key on for a little while so you can see it.

If you had the doors open and the dome lights on for the whole time, that's why it was warm.
