What trans do I have?

How can I tell if I have a 904 trans? Or what year the trans is? Anything I can look for numbers, housing marks....

I was told its a 904 but no idea out of what or if it's gonna work with my duster...

Any 904 or 727 ought to fit your Duster.

The casting number is on the driver's side of the pan rail just below the shift linkage.
