What year Carter BBD for my /6

I am collecting parts to do a 2bbl update for my 63 Dart with a 225/6. I have most everything needed except the carb. The motor is bone stock & I am currently updating the exhaust also. When looking for carb options, I am seeing ones for 78 & up applications. I'd rather not have to plug a bunch of ports as I think that looks bad. Anyone know what years are best for my application? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

An early 318 BBD would work, but one of these adapters will allow you to run a universal Holley 2300 with the Chrysler throttle extension lever. Of course, there will probably be other adaptations that will need to be made, too.
