After doing a little research on this wonder forum, and reading the countless threads concerning low oil pressure. I decided to pull the timing chain cover off and see if indeed I was missing the oil gallery plugs behind the cam thrush plate. Yep they were missing and the bolt with the bleed hole was installed in the wrong spot. I purchased this car not knowing any of the mechanical history, I do know the engine had been removed, such as the engine being painted blue instead of orange and a really nice chrome oil pan. Again, thank you A body forum and all of the knowable mopar die hards, you saved me a bunch of sleepless nights.

looks to me that the whole timing setup up is missing
chain, sprockets, drip tab
not to mention the front cover, water pump, pulleys and belts
oh, and the bolts that hold all that on of course

There are many posts on here debating the need for gallery plugs behind the thrust plate. One member claims he's seen factory original engines without them.

Thanks for post #15 I will check the area for the pipe plug before I start it. The thrush plate had all four bolts, but the one with the bleed hole was in the lower right hand side, facing the front of the engine block. (drivers side) Don't want to take chances on here says.. I ordered the gallery plugs and they will be installed, save the debates for someone else who has the time.
