I've just acquired a 1975 Dart Sport. It has the large (5x4.5) bolt pattern wheels (black steel wheels). I have a set of old school Cragar wheels (from my 1972 Scamp), bolt pattern 5x4, that I want to put on the Dart. I know I'll have to obtain adapters to do so, but the real problem is getting the proper long shank lug nuts to fit the Cragars. A standard 7/16 long shank lug nut (such as that available at Auto Zone, Advance, Car Quest, etc.) will work on the studs, but the shank has too large of a diameter to go through the old Cragars. Newly manufactured wheels will accept the readily available long shank lug nuts. I don't really want to drill on the old Cragars to make the newer type long shank lug nuts fit. Anyone have an idea where to obtain the proper long shank lug nuts to fit the old school Cragars? Anyone have some to part with? Would appreciate a source for the proper adapters as well. Thanks, David

Hey David. I'm not too sure its safe to run wheel adapters. They are unsafe...I know you really want to use those old style cragars, but I think you will be better off selling them, and getting the correct wheels with the larger bolt pattern...I haven't heard anyone trying to run SBP rims and a LBP car before...Usually it's the other way around. lol

Since I'm such a nice guy I'll trade you my small bolt pattern parts for your 4.5 pattern parts :D

(j/k, but I sure wish I had big bolt pattern, at least in the rear. Some day...).
