That was a lifetime ago.
Fairly recent episode of the show featuring a 65 Coronet. I thoroughly enjoyed the episode and loved the car.

Time is a good healer but not always for the victims.
This story brings to mind the 1955 'Le-mans' race.
A simple accident that could have been avoided, but over 80 people died and over a 100 were badly injured.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and motor racing is dangerous...
When I see films of Bob Riggle on the back of 'wheelstander trucks' it makes me cringe!
I have met Bob on many ocassions and he seems quite sane to me.
So what was he thinking back then...
AND the Jay Leno incident was a pure FARCE!
Lucky no one got hurt or that would have been a 'Cupid STUNT' indeed...
Now track safety is 'over the top' we are not even allowed to sit in the back of a pick-up when recovering our drag car...
