Just by eyeballing it, doesn't look like i can replace the OEM temp sensor and this attachment while YES it comes with different size attachments they are all bigger than my OEM sensing unit. Is there a 1/2" NTP port somewhere on a slant 6 that Im not seeing?

The age old mopar won't accept a universal temp sensor bung, problem being either needs tapped bigger or it's too shallow and it won't seat.

Later, Late 77 and up new style heads might or do have the larger bung.

So that means I have to get an electric gauge i guess and splice into my current temp sensor?

Tee off the heater hose would be a bit of a challenge, but that would be close to the electric sender.

That works as long as it's a matched set "gauge n sensor" to be accurate.

Could drill it and use a brass fitting to screw that one into to keep it from bottoming out if an issue at all.

Nah, I can't drill. Im working "gorilla style" on the streets of NYC. ha. Was hoping for an easy 1/2 NPT fit somewhere...Do you know of any matched sets? that would fit a 66 dodge dart slant 6?

Machine shop could make an adapter to bolt in between the t state housing and block? Just thinking out loud.......

now So i understand. If i do this Ill bet getting the temp of the coolant after its already ran thru the engine and is sitting in the heater hose? Does it matter which hose?
It's 1.5 inch I think that's for the radiator hose. And after a quick Google search I found them way cheaper than 50 bucks

That'd be my guess.
okay, but just for my understanding. Wouldn't I be geting the temp of the water before it goes into the engine? Don't i want the temp of the water/coolant after itis inside the engine? Or does the coolant flow back and forth after 180 degrees?
