I have a 1971 B body bucket seat? pistol grip shifter. It's the real short one. I was thinking of velcroing the line lock button toward the bottom of the shifter arm for racing (running the wire under the carpet and thru the shifter boot). I will use bullet connectors so that I can take it out for everyday driving. Make sense?

I don't have the pistol grip but it sounds like my setup. The shifter arm has the line lock and the handle is the NOS button. I leave it on all the time I don't have a need to remove it for the street.

I have mine mounted on the shifter as well. I don't even worry about it for everyday driving, I just leave it right there.

I used a spare flasher switch from another Dart, and mounted it in my dash next to the wiper switch. A casual glance inside and it looks like it's supposed to be there. Flip it up for "locked" and down for normal driving.
I find it hard to hold the line lock button down with a 4 speed and trying to go from 1st to 2nd without letting it go.
