Hey everyone,

I just joined the site today, and don't have oodles of time to search the forums for something akin to what I am looking for. Basically I wanted to just say hello, and ask advice on where to begin my quest to build a 1971 Hemi Barracuda. I know very little about cars, so it will be a journey for sure. I want to purchase a decent frame and then just buy a used Hemi or a crate Hemi rather than try and rebuild a '71 version. I live in Oregon and should be able to find a decent frame somewhere in the NW no?

I want to start researching and learning about this process so any recommended sites would be welcome.

Thanks in advance, this is a great site.

Honestly... With the time and money involved in building a Hemi E-Body its probably better to just get one that is finished.

Just to get the body refinished could cost $20,000...

First place to start would be.... Get about $70,000 cash on hand.

big block dart forum, but not much e body there. Make it easy, get an a or b, or c body.

oh so the '71 is an E? I did not know that. The one I use as reference is this one

Nice (Loong) story and while I was scanning through it, I saw no ref. of any letter to body style.

E bodies started in 1970 andended in 1974. There are only a Dodge version, the Challenger and the Plymouth version, Barracuda.

(OH, I own a '73 and love it to death over all other body styles.)
