Howdy all, I was just wondering how many fellow FABO'ers were at the big WPC swap meet last weekend in Mt. Clemens, Michigan?? My brother blu340dart and I were there, selling parts and putting on the charm. I had on my FABO shirt with my name on the front, posted a thread here with location, time and date information, and I was looking forward to meeting a few FABO members, but alas, not a single member stopped by to say hi!!! We had a great time nonetheless, and sold a lot of items, but I missed y'all. Even my son Ian was there helping me, selling parts, schmoozing the customers with his wit and smile, and he had a great time too. I did my best to represent FABO and steered a lot of people to our great site. I also saw a lot of great deals there for the A body community, like a sweet set of small bolt Cragars for $150.00. Should've bought those, but I was sellin', not buyin'!!! Make your plans for next year, it's a great place to find some great deals!!! Geof

If I was not so far away I would have been there. Good to hear that you had a good time. How is the Van coming along??

Well Duster, isn't North Carolina right next to Mt. Clemens???LOL!!! Just kidding!!! Wish I could've met you there, that would've been awesome!!! As for the van, the very reason I didn't buy a single thing at the WPC is that all the $$$ I made there is going to the van project. So far I have been gathering information and some parts, have joined up with a Mopar B van website and am formulating a plan of action. The first thing I am going to do is lower the van front and back a couple inches, and use some of the $$$ from the WPC sales to rebuild the 8 3/4 I received in the deal. I also need to take the center section out of the 66 and replace it with a 3:91 and put the 66's 3:55 in Nellas car so I can use the 3:23 from her car in the van. Sounds like a lot of work don't it?? So, with that work, I'll have the stance I need, the front and rear rebuilt, and can then look for the proper wheels and tires to finish the look.

Then, I have paid for the picture windows and air dam and flares from E38valiant, and just need to get them here still so I can start on the window cutting process. I have a friend who is selling his 75 Colt to a gentleman in Philly who is coming here to pick it up, and I am going to see if he will pick up my items. If not, Will (e38) is willing to take them to Carlyle in the spring and have them sent back to me through a friend. That is if my brother doesn't go through Pennsy first. I know it sounds like a hassle, but I don't really need them yet.

I also have a line on a van here from a friend of mine who is going to send it to the scrap when he gets his truck done, so he said I could have the entire van, minus the Super Coupe wheels that are currently on it. It has a 360 in it, roof vents, the fiberglass hood with built in scoop, and a host of other items I will probably save. It's really rusted out, but the 360 is a score so I'm thinking about using that in Nella's van. Nell has also picked the paint, although after talking with the owner of House of Kolor, I don't know if we can afford it, it's $371.00 a pint!!!OUCH!!! It's gonna take a gallon to cover these flanks, and I can't even count that high!!!LOL!!!

Anyway, thats the plan so far. In the spring I'm going to swap a couple cars out so I have room to bring it here instead of the shop so I can work on it every night instead of when I can get out to the shop, so progress should take off!! Thanks for asking, and for sharing your enthusiasm for the project,We're really excited about it!!! Take care bro!!! Geof

Sorry, I was there but I was looking at parts not at / for people. I find that if I spend too much time bench racing the part that I was looking to buy walks away in someone else's arms. Also that place was a zoo! I like the set up at the college so much better, trying to pack that much stuff into that small of a space, then adding 400 people on top, it's a wonder anyone found anything.

I was there also. I was dazzled by all the parts, I was surprised at how big it was, having never been to any winter Chrysler swaps. I did come away with a few items and had to leave before I spent all my money.
