Dumb question but the other gasket sets I have used only sent one pair. Fel-pro sent a composite and a steel set. I haven't cranked down on the cork ends but the gap looks sort of big for just one to fill but I'm guessing the composite is used alone. Help please.Thanx

yes only one gasket under the intake...use RTV on the ends...

I am pretty sure that the steel one is for a 318 and the composite one is for a 340.
Check the gasket to the head to verify, and use RTV on the ends instead of the cork.

Steel intake gaskets r for iron intakes, composite is for aluminum intakes.
If u have an iron intake, use a lil copper coat on it, it comes in a spray can and don't forget to rtv around the water jackets on both sides of the gasket for a leak free seal. Good luck.

...............If u have to use any kind of sealers on the intake gasket to the heads u have a problem.........whoever started using sealers there should be kicked hard...........kim....

Some people say the stupidest things...its called bad angles, corners sealing and pitting sometimes...hell I don't even use the end seals, I use.. u guessed it, 'RTV sealer'
There is something called an 'unspoken thought' ;) no need to type it
